The Dr. Martens event a few weeks ago brought back happy high school memories! I used to wear a brownish pair to compliment my summer attire, and the black high cut for COCC. Then, the time came when I had to part with my fave kicks and handed them down to my nieces, simply coz they’ve been replaced with office shoes. But, you know what? Dr. Martens’ shoes can last for more than a decade, longer if taken cared of properly. They may be pricey, but believe me, it’s a good investment.
Anyway, I was in awe at the designs I saw at their BGC store. I wanted to get one hahahaha but I know I’d look like a trying hard teeny bopper lol. Below are two of my faves, Dr. Martens Air Wair. So girly, super comfy and not heavy, perfect to partner with your summer dresses!
They also launched the DM’s Lite which has been designed to appeal to a broader consumer; free thinking individuals who may never have worn a pair of DM’s before, or those who have been with the brand forever.
DM’s Lite takes all of the iconic DNA, associated comfort and durability that the brand is famous for, but on a new ultra-lightweight Phylon midsole to offer styles that transcend from workwear to fashion, but take classic shoe-making skills into streetwear lifestyle products.
For SS17, the Evade 3-Eye Shoe has been introduced to compliment the new range with an upper mix of mesh nd synthetic quarter panels for performance breathability in warmer months and a classic ghillie lace system which is both contemporary and practical.
